To better serve our clients, FIT For Work is assuming all marketing and administrative duties of MedServ Solutions Inc.  This means that in addition to Occupational Rehabilitation and Labour Market Re-entry services, FIT For Work now offers Disability Case Management and Occupational Medicine Services to complement our multi-disciplinary approach.  This move takes advantage of cost-savings efficiencies that existed in house and allows one point of contact for inquiries to reduce any confusion that may have occurred in the marketplace.  It should be noted that MedServ Solutions remains an independently owned organization focused on providing you the same high degree of customer service and results-oriented approach to health services.

Revisit fitforwork.com for future details, or contact FIT for an information kit.  Speak with us to find out how our expanded service portfolio can benefit your organization. Phone 1-709-722-7676 or email info@fitforwork.com

November 2001
LMR is Labour Market Re-entry
It is an extension of the service previously referred to as the Workforce Re-entry Assistance Program or WRAP.  LMR is a scope of services offered to injured or disabled individuals who are not returning to their pre-injury job but may be medically suited to find alternate work.  These services would assist to define the client's transferable skills, interests and aptitudes, and training potential (if appropriate) in order to determine their ability to transfer from one vocational path to another.  To assist in this vocational transfer, workforce re-entry assistance such as resume development, interview skills, job search or job placement services are also available.

The LMR program is a set of individual services tailored to the client:

A Transferable Skills Analysis identifies job related skills developed through previous training and life experiences that could be used competitively in the job market.  The service offers options for alternate work and wage loss/recovery information is supplied.

Psychometric Evaluation is for individuals who cannot or likely not to return to a previous or pre-disability type of work.  A Cognitive Profile for Vocational Planning (or a Psychometric Evaluation) is sometimes required to identify full cognitive potential for retraining.

Work Samples approximate real life situations and can be used to assess job skill potential and worker behaviours.  The simulations cover such skills as Clerical Comprehension, Money Handling, and Mechanical Repair.

Workforce Re-entry (Job Search and Job Placement Services):
Job Search Training, Job Placement, National Occupation Code (NOC) and Local Labour Market Research.

This is a brief outline of our Labour Market Re-entry program.  Call or e-mail for an information pamphlet and speak with our staff about who can benefit from our services. In St. John's 709-722-7676, or e-mail info@fitforwork.com.
