Psychology & Psychotherapy

Individualized treatment to help people with a broad variety of mental illnesses and emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy can help eliminate or control troubling mental health symptoms so a person can function better and can increase well-being and healing. Problems helped by psychotherapy include difficulties in coping with daily life; the impact of trauma, medical illness/chronic pain, grief/loss like the death of a loved one; and specific mental disorders like depression or anxiety.

Exposure Therapy

Therapy to treat fear avoidance and anxiety disorders. Exposure therapy involves progressively exposing an individual to the anxiety source for building comfort, tolerance level of the stressor, and desensitization.

Occupational Therapy

Assisting individuals to engage in meaningful daily occupations by building resiliency through teaching and practice of symptom coping skills, such as mindfulness and behavioural activation.
